Celadon is a grey-green glaze from China that owes its colour to a tiny amount of iron. It pools in the hollows and lightens on the ridges, highlighting every throwing mark.
The spout is pinched by hand while the clay is still soft: it pours cleanly, without dripping. The jug holds one litre, just right for four glasses of Normandy cider.
